WARSAW, Poland, JAN. 20, 2003 (Zenit.org).- Prime Minister Leszek Miller said Poland's anti-abortion law won't be loosened during the current Parliament, but said the law might be changed after the 2005 elections, Agence France-Presse reported.
«There is no majority in the Diet [lower house] to amend this law, nor to decide to hold a referendum on this issue,» Miller told Polish public radio, when asked about prospects for weakening the law, AFP said.
Poland's President Aleksander Kwasniewski also ruled out weakening the anti-abortion law. He was quoted by PAP news agency as saying «the law is in place and we should keep it.»
