JERUSALEM, JULY 26 (ZENIT.org).- Over the past few days, Franciscans in the Holy Land have been asking arriving pilgrims to pray for peace in the Middle East, which depended largely on the negotiations held in Camp David.

"For more than seven centuries we have looked after Christ's Holy Sepulcher and the other shrines of the Lord's Land. In every meeting with pilgrims, we pray for peace in this land of conflict. At present, a peace process is taking place that cannot leave us indifferent," the Vicar of the Holy Land Custody, Fr. Castor Garcia, has said over these days to visiting pilgrims.
